Deep State vs. Donald Trump: The Ukrainian Connection

Moon of Alabama
2017-01-12 21:28:00

As remarked on January 6:

When Hillary Clinton was defeated in the U.S. presidential election the relevant powers launched a campaign to delegitimize the President elect Donald Trump.

The ultimate aim of the cabal is to kick him out of office and have a reliable replacement, like the Vice-President elect Pence, take over. Should that not be possible it is hoped that the delegitimization will make it impossible for Trump to change major policy trajectories especially in foreign policy. A main issue here is the reorientation of the U.S. military complex and its NATO proxies from the war of terror towards a direct confrontation with main powers like Russia and China.

The deep state campaign against Trump opened new grounds today with the publication of completely fake and thereby unverifiable anonymous assertions which include the smear that Trump had some fun in a Moscow hotel and that Russian secret services is using that to manipulate him.

Like many smears against Trump via proxies of the Clinton presidential campaign these new ones seem to origin from Ukraine related sources and Ukrainian « nationalist » (aka fascist) putsch supporters.

Trump’s Secretary of Defense James Mattis tells Congress: ‘Putin is trying to break NATO, the US must push back »

Mattis says biggest threats to US come from: ‘Russia, terrorist groups and what China is doing in the South China sea.’

As Trump’s cabinet picks undergo their respective confirmation hearings, the million dollar question that is probably on everyone’s mind is whether Trump’s picks have broken rank with the President-elect, and want confrontation with Russia…or if they are simply saying they want an aggressive stance towards the Kremlin because that is what congressional war-hawk neocons like McCain and Graham want to hear.

President-elect Donald Trump conducts his own sting operation to ensnare intelligence briefers – and says he caught them leaking

Geoff Earle
Daily Mail
2017-01-11 23:30:00

President-elect Donald Trump, after growing suspicious that intelligence officials were leaking news about their classified briefings with him, says he conducted a sting operation to try to prove top spies were behind the leaks.

Trump revealed the extraordinary scheme to try to entrap the senior spies in a furious press conference where he suggested the intelligence community had been behind salacious and totally unproven allegations against him.

‘I think it’s pretty sad when intelligence reports get leaked out to the press. First of all, it’s illegal. These are classified and certified meetings and reports,’ Trump said during a press conference at Trump Tower – his first since getting elected.

Then he revealed the details of the stealthy sting he says he conducted on the nation’s senior spooks.

‘I’ll tell you what does happen. I have many meetings with intelligence. And every time I meet, people are reading about it,’ Trump complained, possibly referencing reports on his classified briefings, which he has chosen not to receive daily.
Comment: Trump trumped the intelligence briefers. He knows how to play their game.

Precious Snowflakes Cheer as ‘Deep State Overlords’ Declare War on Trump

Glenn Greenwald

In January, 1961, Dwight Eisenhower delivered his farewell address after serving two terms as U.S. president; the five-star general chose to warn Americans of this specific threat to democracy: « In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist. » That warning was issued prior to the decadelong escalation of the Vietnam War, three more decades of Cold War mania, and the post-9/11 era, all of which radically expanded that unelected faction’s power even further.

This is the faction that is now engaged in open warfare against the duly elected and already widely dislikedpresident-elect, Donald Trump. They are using classic Cold War dirty tactics and the defining ingredients of what has until recently been denounced as « Fake News. »

Their most valuable instrument is the U.S. media, much of which reflexively reveres, serves, believes, and sides with hidden intelligence officials. And Democrats, still reeling from their unexpected and traumatic election loss as well as a systemic collapse of their party, seemingly divorced further and further from reason with each passing day, are willing — eager — to embrace any claim, cheer any tactic, align with any villain, regardless of how unsupported, tawdry and damaging those behaviors might be.
Comment: Spellbound by the image of Trump that Hillary Clinton and her Deep State friends created, the ‘Progressive Left’ marches in lock-step with a criminal cabal that has spent decades assassinating, torturing, and terrorizing the citizens of the world.

JFK once fought against the Deep State and, amidst many other trials, helped the world avoid full-scale nuclear war with the Soviet Union. He paid for his courageous acts of conscience with his life. To say that Trump is in danger from ‘Deep State Overlords’ is no overstatement – it is a fact. His Presiden

The globalists seem to have an overarching obsession with data collection. As we have seen with revelations from multiple government whistle-blowers, the establishment spends most of its time, energy and manpower collecting information not just on known threats to their supremacy, but information on EVERYONE through FISA-based surveillance protocols. This is because the establishment sees every individual as a potential threat.

Thus, the system, without warrant, is programmed to collate data from everywhere, not necessarily to be analyzed on the spot, but to be analyzed later in the event that a specific person rises to a level that poses legitimate harm to the globalist power structure.

There was a time not long ago when this notion was considered « conspiracy theory » by the mainstream, but with multiple exposures from Wikileaks to Edward Snowden it is now common knowledge that the government (and the globalists) spy on us en masse. However, I do not think that many people understand the greater implications or uses for this full spectrum surveillance. This is why you sometimes hear the argument that « if you aren’t doing anything wrong, then you have nothing to worry about… »

The truth is, mass surveillance is not done merely for the sake of surveillance, and it is certainly not undertaken for the sake of public safety. There is a greater purpose, and it is something the elites crave dearly — the purpose of total and PREDICTIVEinformation awareness.

Russian diplomat Zakharova concerned MH17 crash probe results might be censored

2017-01-12 20:22:00

Russia fears that the results of a probe into the Malaysian airliner’s crash over eastern Ukraine in 2014 may be censored and may fail to reach the public at large, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.

The Russian diplomat made this statement after the Dutch authorities seized material evidence from the journalists found at the plane crash site.

According to the spokeswoman, the plane’s debris « is still there, at the tragedy site, and it is not being investigated by a joint investigative group led by the Dutch Prosecutor’s Office. »

DOJ to probe FBI’s handling of Clinton email investigation

2017-01-12 20:16:00

The US Department of Justice is launching a review of how the FBI handled the inquiry into Hillary Clinton’s private email server, and whether public disclosures of the investigation cost Clinton the presidential election, as many have claimed.

DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz announced the investigation on Thursday, saying it comes, « in response to requests from numerous Chairmen and Ranking Members of Congressional oversight committees, various organizations, and members of the public. »

The review will examine if FBI Director James Comey violated established procedures when he discussed the Bureau’s findings at a press conference in July 2016, and when he sent Congress a letter about renewing the investigation in October, shortly before the election.

Trump’s nemesis John McCain kicked off ‘Kremlin memo’ scandal by handing dossier to FBI

Darren Boyle
2017-01-12 20:50:00

Sworn Donald Trump enemy John McCain admitted Wednesday that he passed the dossier of claims of a Russian blackmail plot against the president-elect – calling it ‘what any citizen should do’.

McCain – a longstanding anti-Trump Republican who had disassociated himself from the candidate’s campaign weeks before the election – cast himself as an innocent and concerned member of the public as he justified his move.

He claimed he had no idea whether it was accurate or not – but that he believed the FBI should have it because it was ‘sensitive’.

‘I did what any citizen should do. I received sensitive information and handed it to the FBI,’ he told CNN – the network which broke the story that the document existed. It was then published in full by Buzzfeed.

‘That’s why I gave it to the FBI. I don’t know if it is credible or not but the information I thought deserved to be delivered to the FBI, the appropriate agency of government.’

Obama’s last push for war with Russia

Brandon Turbeville

As Obama’s days as U.S. President draw to a close, both the Obama administration and the mainstream corporate media are attempting to provoke a greater conflict with nuclear-armed Russia on the basis of something that never actually happened; at least on the basis of something that they have yet to prove has actually happened. Still, the hype and hysteria being piped from the halls of the White House, intelligence community, and the mouthpiece of the establishment, the corporate media, is incessant. According to the media and the President, the Russians hacked the DNC (never mind the fact that the DNC was acting inappropriately and rigging the elections themselves) and put American democracy at risk.

Of course, neither the intelligence community nor the White House has yet to produce any evidence of their claims, despite the fact that they are clearly provocations aimed both at Russia and the domestic population of the United States, with the intention to frighten the latter into submission with a healthy dose of Neo-McCarthyism and red-baiting. Still, this continuous and baseless propaganda might cause many Americans a number of flashbacks since the last time their President, intelligence community, and corporate media came to them with proof of an encroaching threat to democracy, telling them the evidence was clear but that the masses would simply have to « trust » them, Americans ended up bewildered on the battlefield in Iraq where they remain to this day, thirteen years on.

Once again, we are given no evidence, only vague unproven allegations to justify actions that very well may be destructive not only to the American people but to all the people of the world. All we need is for Colin Powell to give a PowerPoint presentation in front of the United Nations and the circle will be complete.

Samsung chief questioned as suspect in South Korea national corruption scandal

2017-01-12 19:16:00

Special prosecutors have interrogated the head of South Korean multinational Samsung Group on suspicion of bribery that led to the impeachment of President Park Geun-Hye.

Jay Y. Lee is suspected of agreeing on bribes paid to Park’s secret confidante Choi Soon-Sil, which she then allegedly used for her private benefit. Samsung was the biggest contributor to Choi’s two non-profit foundations.

The donations were reportedly made in return for governmental approval of controversial mergers. Investigators suspect Choi Soon-Sil of swindling the money received from corporations, including Samsung.

« I am very sorry to the South Korean people for not showing a better side, » the head of Samsung Group told journalists as he arrived at the prosecutor’s office.

Former German MP: Washington on brink of ‘civil war’ as elites fuel anti-Trump hostility

2017-01-12 18:41:00

The US establishment is working hard to make it impossible for Donald Trump to ditch the warmongering policies previous administrations pursued, and to deliver on his pledge to mend relations with Russia, former CDU defense spokesman Willy Wimmer told RT.

« When you see the situation in Washington, I think they are not willing, those who lost the election, to accept the new president whose name is Trump… What’s going on in Washington sounds like the beginning of a civil war, » said Wimmer, who is a former MP with Angela Merkel’s Christian Democratic Union (CDU), and also served as vice president of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).

The former OSCE top official noted that not only members of the Democratic Party, who staked everything on Clinton’s victory, but also Republicans from the war establishment camp, like Sen. John McCain, put up a united front against US President-elect Donald Trump’s plans to build good relations with other countries. Such foreign policy strategy may deal a blow to their hawkish worldview, Wimmer argues.

Russia and Turkey agree to coordinate airstrikes against terrorists in Syria

2017-01-12 18:44:00

Russian and Turkish military officials on Thursday agreed to coordinate airstrikes against terrorist targets in Syria and signed a memorandum on combat flight safety during missions in Syrian airspace, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

On January 12, Russian and Turkish military officials held consultations on coordination of actions in the fight against terrorists in Syria at the Russian Defense Ministry.

« The memorandum establishes mechanisms of coordination and interaction between Russian and Turkish aircraft during airstrikes against terrorist targets, as well as measures aimed at preventing flight incidents involving aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicles in Syrian airspace, » the ministry said in a statement.
Comment: Hopefully, this works out better than the agreement between Russia and the US.

Insane US imposes sanctions on Syrian Army, Navy, Air Force and Republican Guard based on #fakenews

The United States has imposed sanctions on Syrian military branches and the country’s Republican National Guard, the US Department of the Treasury said on Thursday.

The Treasury Department’s Office of Assets Control (OFAC) designated the Syrian Arab Army, Navy, Air Force, Air Defense Forces and the Syrian Arab Republican Guard for use of chemical weapons.

Comment: With absolutely no proof.

The United States also sanctioned the Syrian Organization for Technological Industries, the Department of the Treasury said.

Soros out $1B post Trump election

Tyler Durden
2017-01-12 08:44:00

While Carl Icahn infamously made a killing following the « surprise » Trump election, another prominent hedge fund manager was not nearly as lucky. According to the WSJ, « George Soros lost nearly $1 billion as a result of the stock-market rally spurred by Donald Trump’s surprise presidential election. »

Which, of course means, he only has $29 or so billion left.

As discussed in 2016, Soros returned to trading at Soros Fund Management LLC, which manages $30 billion for the Soros and his family. At the time, « Soros was cautious about the market going into November and became more bearish immediately after Mr. Trump’s election, according to people close to the matter. » In retrospect, that clearly proved a mistake as the market rallied on expectations that Trump’s policies will boost corporate earnings and the overall economy, even if such expectations may end up being premature. To be sure, Soros wasn’t alone as many other experts had predicted a tumble for stocks in the wake of the election, but instead the Dow Jones Industrial Average has climbed 9.3%.

Comment: Oh ye of little faith!

Comment: Gone. One thirtieth of his ‘publicized wealth.’ Food stamps not any time soon. In fact, in 2016, Soros improved 5% — more to spend delegitimizing governments and policies he disagrees with in support of a far-left agenda. At what price fronts, influence and control? Apparently they are all affordable.

Insane McCain is serving the interests of a fascist regime in Ukraine

Forgot the fake scandal about Trump. The real scandal is all about John McCain.

The last time Donald Trump was in Moscow was in 2013. He came to promote his Miss. Universe beauty contest. The last time John McCain was in Kiev was less than two weeks ago. There, he met with many of the soldiers who are slaughtering civilians in Donbass as well as leaders of the fascist regime. The contrast could not be clearer.

Donald Trump has few significant connections to Russia, whilst McCain has many profound connections with the fascist regime in Kiev. He helped them get into power, he was there cheering on the coup. Therefore, why has no one accused McCain of being a Ukrainian agent, working to destabilize American democracy in the name of a corrupt foreign power?

WikiLeaks announces Assange will agree to US extradition in exchange for Manning ‘clemency’

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange would leave his Ecuadorian embassy refuge and accept extradition to the US if whistleblower Chelsea Manning was granted clemency, the media organization has suggested.

Former US Army intelligence analyst Manning is currently serving a 35-year sentence at the military base in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas for passing on battlefield reports and diplomatic cables from the US Department of State to WikiLeaks.

IMF reports that Russian economy will grow steadily over next 5 years

2017-01-12 21:48:00

Russia will see average GDP growth of 1.5 percent in the next five years, according to International Monetary Fund (IMF) Deputy Managing Director David Lipton. However, he told the Gaidar Economic Forum in Moscow the country should strive for faster growth.

In an interview with TASS news agency, Lipton confirmed October’s IMF forecast that predicts global growth of 3.8 percent by 2021, with the Russian economy to grow significantly slower at 1.5 percent.

According to Lipton, Russia should implement some policy changes, reforms and structural changes that will increase the capacity of the economy to catch up with global growth rates.

Dollar slumps & ruble hits 1.5yr high after Trump’s press conference

2017-01-12 21:39:00

The US dollar slumped heavily on Thursday, as President-elect Donald Trump failed to clarify details on his pledge to boost fiscal spending and cut taxes. The Russian ruble enjoyed the dollar’s fall, reaching an 18-month high against the greenback.

The Russian currency strengthened to 59.2 against the dollar, also slightly up against the euro at 63.06.

Trump takes office next week and did not dwell on his planned growth policies during a news conference on Wednesday, concentrating on pharmaceutical companies and other topics.

Deputy director of the Syrian Emergency Task Force is on soft prostitution website

Evan McCarthy Barrett, the deputy director of the Syrian Emergency Task Force— a top organization lobbying for U.S. military intervention in the bloody civil war in Syria — was found on the soft prostitution website Seeking Arrangement.

Seeking Arrangement styles itself as a « sugar daddy dating » website, but is clearly intended to allow young women, particularly college students in debt, to trade sexual favors for money from wealthy men — the very definition of « prostitution. »

GotNews obtained screenshots of Barrett’s profile on Seeking Arrangement, where he uses the name « Rousseaubly »:

Several of the photographs on Barrett’s Seeking Arrangement profile match photos on his Facebook page:

Barrett is a fan of Khizr « Kinky Lick » Khan and Hillary Clinton:

Barrett hates Russia and Syrian President Bashar al-Assad:

Mexico: ‘Gasolinazo’ protests just a symptom of corruption, inflation and neoliberal policies

Nick Bernabe
The Anti Media
2017-01-10 14:03:00

Long-simmering social tensions in Mexico are threatening to boil over as failing neoliberal reforms to the country’s formerly nationalized gas sector are compounded by open corruption, stagnant standards of living, and rampant inflation.

The U.S. media has remained mostly mute on the situation in Mexico, even as the unfolding civil unrest has closed the U.S.-Mexico border in San Diego, California, several times in the past week. Ongoing « gasolinazo » protests in Mexico over a 20 percent rise is gas prices have led to over 400 arrests, 250 looted stores, and six deaths. Roads are being blockaded, borders closed, and government buildings are being sacked. Protests have remained relatively peaceful overall, except for several isolated violent acts, which activists have blamed on government infiltrators.

The few mainstream news reports that have covered the situation blame rising gas prices but fail to examine several other factors that are pushing Mexico to the brink of revolution.

12yo livestreams her suicide, Georgia cops struggling to suppress tragic video

2017-01-12 19:19:00

The live broadcast of a 12-year-old girl committing suicide has sparked outrage online, after authorities said they lack the power to remove the video from the internet.

Katelyn Nicole Davis hung herself in the front yard of her Cedartown, Georgia, house on December 30, streaming her death for the world to see. The video reportedly runs for just over 40 minutes and apparently ends only after the parents discover the body of the girl.

The suicide occurred after Davis announced that she had been physically and sexually abused by a family member.

Nothing dismantles the notion of Land of the Free quite like the government kidnapping and caging you for building an addition to your home on your own property. Amy McKinnon is learning the hard way after she was thrown in jail this month for building an addition for her sick mother without going through the proper extortion channels of the state.

Sadly, her neighbors and the media are actually praising this nonsense as if McKinnon is some kind of criminal.

« Nobody in their right mind would buy something next to a monstrosity like this, » neighbor Don Gilmore told FOX 8 News. « Obviously, it’s an eyesore and it sticks out because it doesn’t belong here. »

Don is referring to the addition in McKinnon’s backyard that is on her own property and behind a fence.

McKinnon was arrested because her building size exceeded that of the permit she was forced to acquire through the city.

Missing 6yo girl & her father sail into Australia after month at sea

A man and his six-year-old daughter have sailed into a coastal town in New South Wales Australia – a month after an international search began to locate the pair, who were reported missing in New Zealand.

Alan Langdon, currently involved in a custody dispute with the mother of his daughter, Que, said he didn’t expect the « mass hysteria » over their disappearance. He set sail with the child on his 6.4-meter (21ft) catamaran from Kawhia Harbour on New Zealand’s North Island on December 17.

Que’s mother reportedly hired a child-recovery service in an attempt to locate the pair. This was said to be the second time she hired the professionals to locate the duo.

Ft. Lauderdale airport shooter converted to Islam, identified as Aashiq Hammad years before joining army

Judicial Watch
2017-01-10 19:34:00

The Ft. Lauderdale Airport shooter is a Muslim convert who years before joining the U.S. Army took on an Islamic name (Aashiq Hammad), downloaded terrorist propaganda and recorded Islamic religious music online, according to public records dug up by the investigative news site of an award-winning, California journalist. This is pertinent information that the Obama administration apparently wants to keep quiet, bringing up memories of the Benghazi cover up, in which the president and his cohorts knowingly lied to conceal that Islamic terrorists attacked the U.S. Special Mission in Libya.

Information is slowly trickling out that links the Ft. Lauderdale Airport shooter to radical Islam while the official story from authorities is that the gunman is a mentally ill, Hispanic Army veteran named Esteban Santiago that became unhinged after a tour in Iraq. Only one mainstream media outlet mentions the possibility of Santiago’s « jihadist identity, » burying it in a piece about New York possibly being his initial target. A paragraph deep in the story mentions that investigators recovered Santiago’s computer from a pawn shop and the FBI is examining it to determine whether he created a « jihadist identity for himself using the name Aashiq Hammad… » The rest of the traditional mainstream media coverage promotes the government rhetoric that omits any ties to terrorism even though early on a photo surfaced of Santiago making an ISIS salute while wearing a keffiyeh, a Palestinian Arab scarf.

Dissenting Swedish journalist gets lambasted for ‘spreading Russian propaganda’ that has nothing to do with Russia

Sometimes, things appear different from a distance. A Czech-Swedish journalist has recently raised hell in Sweden by portraying the Nordic country in a considerably unfavorable light. The Swedish media were quick to stigmatize the dissident journalist as a « spreader of Russian propaganda. »

Earlier this week, Prague-born journalist Katerina Janouch appeared in a half-hour-long interview with digital Czech TV channel DVTV, in which she described Sweden, which proudly touts itself as a champion of human rights and a ‘humanitarian superpower’, as a country that is getting crushed by mass migration and its faulty integration policy.

Porn censorship & age checks are a breach of human rights, says UN official

2017-01-12 12:24:00

Online checks controlling whether children are accessing pornographic sites have been defined as a breach of human rights by a United Nations (UN) official.

The British government announced last year that any porn site failing to implement age verification checks before people can view explicit content will be immediately blocked.

But David Kaye, the UN’s special rapporteur on the promotion and protection on the rights to freedom of opinion and expression, has now urged politicians to reconsider, as the proposal could be in breach of « international law. »

A series of bans on pornographic content available to the public have been implemented by the Tory government since taking office.

Depictions of sexual acts such as spanking, face-sitting and female ejaculation are now banned in British porn, and internet providers could be hit with fines if they fail to block websites identified by the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) as contravening the law.

Age verification checks will be made compulsory by amendments to the new Digital Economy Bill, which is currently being examined by the House of Lords.

Heartless: Oregon woman freezes to death after eviction from senior housing for $388 in late rent

Kenneth Lipp
U.S. Uncut
2017-01-10 00:00:00

Karen Batts, 52, died from hypothermia Saturday in the Smart Park parking garage in Portland, Oregon, homeless over $338 in delinquent rent. Batts is the second person to freeze to death, alone, on Portland’s streets in 2017.

Police were called to 730 SW 10th Avenue on Saturday afternoon because of reports that a woman was in the parking garage removing her clothes.

While it may seem counter-intuitive, hypothermia victims will often frantically remove clothing as the condition worsens because nerve damage can cause them to feel very hot, like they are on fire.

Batts had been living at a building for seniors and people with disabilities managed by Cascade Management, Inc. and Northwest Housing Alternatives, LLC, designed to be affordable for persons of limited means, until October, when she was evicted.

Long-lost Anglo-Saxon village with artefacts belonging to ancient nobles are uncovered by builders in Cambridge

Shivali Best
Daily Mail UK
2017-01-12 21:23:00
Builders in Cambridge were in for a surprise when they discovered highly significant Anglo-Saxon remains on a new housing development. A range of treasures, including vases, jewellery and pots from early English nobles were found, which date as far back as 501 AD.

The findings give an insight into how people lived in the Ango-Saxon period, including their trade activities and behaviours. The site lies on the western edge of the Middle Saxon settlement around the Cherry Hinton area of Cambridge.

Findings include precious jewellery such as fine brooches, multi-coloured glass and amber beads, rings and hairpins dating back to the sixth century AD, as well as remnants of an original village-style settlement. Complete pottery vessels were also found on the land, earmarked for 60 homes, including a stunning rare glass claw beaker.

These elaborate drinking vessels are normally found further south in Kent, northern France, the Netherlands and Germany, where they were produced.

A presidential campaign did collude with a foreign nation to sway a U.S. election: In 1980

Senior officials of a Republican presidential campaign committed outright treason against the United States when they secretly met with envoys of a foreign government to lay the groundwork for the defeat of the Democratic presidential candidate. We are not referring to the unsubstantiated charges about the 2016 presidential campaign leveled against Donald Trump campaign and the Russian government.

In 1980, vice presidential candidate George H. W. Bush and Ronald Reagan’s campaign manager William Casey met with Iranian government officials and worked out a covert plan for Iran to keep 52 Americans hostage in Tehran until after the November 4, 1980, election. In return, the Reagan team promised to secretly ship U.S. weapons and spare parts to Iran on a Central Intelligence Agency-contracted U.S. merchant vessel before the election as a down payment to Iran with more weapons following after Reagan was sworn into office on January 20, 1981. The « weapons-for-hostages » plan worked for the Reagan team. President Jimmy Carter was defeated and the 52 hostages in Iran were freed the very moment Ronald Reagan raised his right hand to be sworn in as president.

Human speech is thought to have come about relatively recently, within the last 70,000 to 100,000 years. Because of this, there has been little research into the links between the sounds made by non-human primates and the way we speak.

But a new study has shown baboons can make five of the vowel noises thought unique to humans, meaning the origin of language could stretch back much older than we thought – to 25 million years ago.

Researchers from Grenoble Alpes University in France, along with other colleagues, studied 1,335 spontaneous sounds produced by 15 male and female Guinea baboons. They found surprising similarities that dates the origin of speech back to our common ancestors, 25 million years ago.

‘Similarities between humans and baboons suggest that the vowels of human speech probably evolved from ancient articulatory precursors that were passed on and refined all along the hominid line,’ said co-author Joel Fagot from the Université d’Aix in Marseilles. The researchers performed an acoustical analysis of the grunts, barks, wahoos, copulation calls, and yaks from baboons. They found, like people who use several vowels during speech, the non-human primates make five distinct vowel-like sounds.

If the Planet Nine exist, it was recently capture by our sun say researchers

A pair of researchers have presented new simulations on Planet Nine, a theoretical planet far beyond Pluto. The simulations suggest that, if it does exist, it could be described as a rogue planet, indicating that it was not originally born in our solar system, but at some point drifted too close to our star and was captured by gravity.

Paul Mason and his student James Vesper, astronomers with New Mexico State University, presented the results of simulations on the mysterious planet at this year’s American Astronomical Science meeting. The simulations show that a planet of Nine’s size and distance from the Sun would likely be a rogue planet. Rogues are planets not beholden to a star’s gravity, interstellar nomads who freely wander through space.

When rogues enter the gravitational pull of a star, according to Mason and Vesper, they can be captured and remain in the star’s orbit. This is what occurred in 40 percent of their simulations, and what they believe was the fate of Planet Nine. The rest of the time, a rogue enters a solar system and leaves soon after. Mason and Vesper believe rogues to be far more abundant than previously thought, but rare in our own solar System.
